The Costa Dorada is the official tourist designation for the strip of
coast running from the Garraf massif, in the province of Barcelona, to the
delta of the River Ebro, in the province of Tarragona. It is a coastline
of fine and large sandy beaches, broken here and there by stretches of
cliffs, the most prominent of which is the Cape Salou promontory. The
waters of the beaches in Costa Dorada are warm and not deep, so we can
enjoy of lovely and peaceful swims. This coast is characterised by its
flat and regular ground and posses all the advantages that offer its
modern tourist facilities. The cities of Calafell, Coma-ruga, Salou and
Cambrils stand out because of their influx of tourists.
